The Central Coast Solar Tour is part of the non-profit American Solar Energy Society's (ASES) National Solar Tour and is supported by Santa Ynez Valley Solar.
The goal is to bring people who are thinking about getting a solar system face-to-face with people who already have a solar system.
It is the opportunity to ask why they decided to go solar, what their experience is, and if they are happy they did it.
The Central Coast Solar Tour is a self-guided tour showcasing homes and businesses in the Santa Ynez Valley, the Los Alamos Valley, and Lompoc areas that are taking advantage of solar energy to produce electricity.
The solar system owners will be on hand to show off their systems and explain why they went solar and how much money they are saving.
