The City of Santa Rosa's Clean Energy Advocates and Solar Sonoma County are organizing a Green Homes Tour on October 2, 2011 from 10a - 4p. Come tour a variety of homes throughout Santa Rosa and pick up ideas to make improvements on your home! Speak with experts, see live demonstrations, find out what rebates are available and meet your fellow homeowners!
This is a great opportunity to see how solar works up close an personal, how it can benefit your home and what the process is like.

At this first stop you will tour a "deconstructed" home which will show exposed efficiency measures such as insulation, lighting, and a new solar technology system which harnesses up to 50% of the sun's energy. As a result, this technology allows you to do a whole lot more. In addition to producing electricity, it will provide hot water (one of the biggest energy usages in most homes) plus help heat and cool your home.
