Description: Free open house (donations appreciated) of FRZEH (Fats’ and Reeda’s Zero Energy Home). This is a utility grid-tied, 6.2kWh PV home participating in TVA’s Generation Partners Program. FRZEH was built with: a super performance building shell, geothermal heat pump (GHP), desuperheater, passive solar design, HEPA filtration with energy recovery ventilation (ERV), heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system located inside conditioned envelope.
Driving instructions: In Atwood, TN, turn North on Stewart Street off highway U.S. 70/79. Turn left on Honeysuckle Road and the FRZEH (Fats and Reedas Zero Energy Home) is the third house on right, just past the mobile home.
