The Greening of Dana

Tour the greenest building at the University of Michigan!  The Samuel T. Dana building, home of the School of Natural Resrouces and Environment, underwent a green renovation from 1999-2004 which included the installation of a 30 kW photovolatic (PV) array (solar panels) on the roof of the building.  The tour will include an overview of the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of the PV system, as well as other green features of the renovation that contributed to the Dana Building's Gold LEED certification.  NOTE: the roof will not be accessible on tour as it does not meet safety standards set by the University.
