The John Day Solar Tour begins at Keerins Hall on the Grant County Fairgrounds, and includes featured buildings with solar electric, solar hot water, and passive solar design features. At least one of the homes will be off-grid.
The John Day Solar Tour is part of the Oregon Green and Solar Tours - one of the biggest events of its kind in the nation. Each year, communities from across Oregon offer tours of homes and business showcasing a variety of green and solar technologies. Each tour reflects the unique interests of the community, yet all share a common goal: to educate the public about green and solar strategies.
