2011 KITTITAS COUNTY SOLAR TOUR
Saturday, October 1, 2011
10am -4pm
The KITTITAS COUNTY SOLAR TOUR is one of hundreds of Tours being organized across the country to help people learn how energy efficiency and alternative energy can reduce energy costs, yield tax incentives, improve property values, help the environment and increase self-sufficiency.
The KITTITAS COUNTY SOLAR TOUR is a free and unique opportunity for home owners, businesses, administrators and students to not only view the array of alternative energy systems and energy efficiency measures installed in our County, but also to have in-depth discussions with your neighbors, installers and energy efficiency experts about the costs, incentives, design, products and installation of these systems and of course hear the stories about what went right and what went wrong.
The KITTITAS COUNTY SOLAR TOUR is self-guided and includes many different sites that will be open or can be driven by from 10am to 4pm on Saturday, October 1, 2011. Sites on the KITTITAS COUNTY SOLAR TOUR feature passive solar design, straw bale construction, solar water heating systems and photo voltaic and wind energy production systems.
