The Kokomo Solar tour starts with a kick-off session at Inventrek Technology Park, the former General Motors Delco Radio "Plant 1." A brief presentation on Renewable Energy technologies in Indiana and a tour overview will be provided. A rolling "solar-generator", a PV-powered trailer will be on display to allow visitors to see a small-scale off-grid system implementation.
The tour itself will give visitors a chance to see residential, commercial, and agricultural PV solar installations. Many system owners will be on hand to field questions and discuss the owner experience of renewable energy.
Maps will be provided to guide visitors to "drive-by" sites to see other wind & solar installations from street level.
