Two Homes featured on the Tour this year:
1. This is a great example of a passive solar home using a pre-cast insulated concrete wall design. Learn about the well engineered mechanical systems! This home has a 3.3kw grid tied solar system, with a solar hot water heating system. This home’s aesthetic features are beautiful, and have a good story of the wood materials used in the home.
2. This is a highly insulated, passive solar stick frame home. The home was designed by a Boulder firm Rodwin Architects( www.rodwinarch.com) and is Energy Star Rated. This home features a 4kw grid tied solar system, with a solar thermal heating system. This home is still under construction, and in the final stages of completion.
This Solar Home tour is also advertised on nationalsolartour.org
