Amundsen Home

Our home has 4 kW of solar PV, solar hot water, a green roof, a 3000-gallon rainwater cistern, a rain garden, 3 electric cars, composters, permeable pavers & native plants. We went solar because we believe climate change is the existential issue of our time and we try hard to reduce our carbon footprint. Also solar is easy and fun, and pays for itself very quickly!

We think that people seeing solar and sustainable features like green roofs at their neighbor’s house gives them the comfort to take some of these actions themselves.
