Cottage Garden Solar
Our 21.5 forested acre farm includes a barn roof with a 9,500kW solar array, 4000 gallon rainwater collection, raised-bed vegetable garden, 8’x8’ composting bins, 10,000 square foot pollinator flower garden, Tesla PowerWall and goats/chickens. 95-105% of of electrical needs are solar generated. We collect rain water for watering vegetables grown in raised beds. We maintain a 10,000 square foot garden specifically planted for the benefit of native pollinators. Our 2-Cell PowerWall is used for backup power when needed and will eventually balance solar generation with home usage including charging the electric car. We also own shares of the Clark County Community Solar Program (off-site array).
