Solar Center in Janesville
My residence displays extreme effort for energy efficiency as well as solar. Solar systems include three PV solar arrays that also work with the storage Lithium-Ion batteries. The special Pika Inverter (now sold by Generac) channels only PV power to charge the batteries. Then at night, the batteries power the house loads as long and the battery storage is at least 30% full.
There is a solar domestic water heater where the pumps are PV solar powered. There is also a solar thermal winter heating system with a loop before the forced air furnace. When the loop is 106 degrees or higher, the furnace fan turns on to push the heat throughout the home.
There is rainwater that feeds a 1,000 gallon tank which is connected underground to service permissable water loads in the residence (Wisconsin Law only allows watering the garden, washing clothes, and flushing the toilets).
The basement is totally insulated as livable space.
