Sussex Solar Gardens
Sussex Solar Gardens is a small community solar project which is fully owned by local investors. Seventeen families purchased varying numbers of solar panels in the 156 panel array. The local Rural Elect4ric Cooperative agreed to reduce their monthly electric bills in proportion to the number of panels owned by each member.
In operatiion since November 2019 the solar system has performed flawlessly and has returned about half of the initial investment costs to each member.
