Wagner Bros Orchard and Bakery
This unique solar tour will get you up close to an array of 18 Dual-Axis Trackers located right on Highway 169. These 18 arrays each have 24 panel and they produce 30-40% more power compared to static ground-mounted solar arrays. This is because they follow the sun across the sky, which results in peak solar production early in the day and sustains that peak production late into the evening. They are ideal for farmers and business owners with unproductive land looking to get the most out of their solar arrays and maximize the benefits of net metering.
This tour will be guided by staff at Blue Horizon Energy, who designed and installed this system. They are looking forward to providing a guided tour of the full system, from panel to utility meter, and sharing their solar expertise with all who are interested.
Bring your sweet tooth as well: The orchard will be open and have a variety of apples, pears, pumpkins, and harvest treats like strudel and kettle corn!
When you arrive, park at the designated location at the main Orchard building. The tour will begin there, and then we’ll cross Highway 169 to get up close to the solar array.
Please note this Solar Site is hosting attendees on 10/1/2022 from 10am to 12pm and 1pm to 3pm.
