Except for the woodstove, the house is all electric. We use the woodstove very little, burning less than 1/2 face cord / year. Home heating is primarily from a Mitsubishi mini-split heat pump, with some assist from south facing windows in the sun room and the woodstove. Water heaters are electric (not heat pump), cook stove is induction. We have an EV with a level 2 charger in the garage. Small loads include a battery electric lawn mower and a plug in electric snow blower. On a year round basis the PV provides 86% of our kWh. Total electric bill for 2022 was $805, $252 of which was fixed charge for being hooked up to the grid. We lead a fairly “normal” life style, which includes a whirlpool tub.
