Country in the City Solar Home and Sustainable Mini-Farm
Open House hours for this solar home are Friday, October 6th, from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm
This home is also a bus stop on the Friday October 6th Ohio “Wish You Were Here” Tour : https://www.nationalsolartour.org/tourmap/ohio-wish-you-were-here-tour-2-2/ The bus will arrive around 11:10 am
Our mini-farm has the feel of the country while being located in an urban area only 15 minutes from downtown Cleveland. We have a two year old solar system on our garage roof that covers most of our electrical needs. We also have many other examples of DIY projects that are sustainable and/or use upcycled materials. Examples include electrical lawn care equipment, a greenhouse, rain barrels for irrigation, a barn in the process of being renovated, and landscaping centered around permaculture and native plants. When visiting, please park behind the house in the main driveway area.
