The American Solar Energy Society‘s 28th Annual National Solar Tour aims to promote renewable energy awareness and increase the adoption of sustainable living practices. Are you interested in going solar or purchasing a sustainable system? Join in-person or virtual tours to gain insight from current owners!

This is a DRIVE BY ONLY site and not open to the public. It is part of the OHIO “Wish You Were Here” tour: https://www.nationalsolartour.org/tourmap/ohio-wish-you-were-here-tour-2-2/ The 10/6/23 guided tour bus will arrive at Kenston School around 1:15pm and depart around 1:25pm
In 2012, with help from a from a $250,000 Federal Race to the Top Innovation Grant, Kenston schools completed multiple renewable energy installations. They include:
… a 750 Kilowatt wind turbine on a 213 foot tower
… a 30 Kilowatt roof-mounted solar array
… a 3 Kilowatt ground mounted solar tracking array
… and a 79,200 BTU solar thermal water heating system
