The American Solar Energy Society‘s 28th Annual National Solar Tour aims to promote renewable energy awareness and increase the adoption of sustainable living practices. Are you interested in going solar or purchasing a sustainable system? Join in-person or virtual tours to gain insight from current owners!
Although the main weekend is October 6-8, 2023. In-person and virtual tours are happening all throughout the year.

Schneider home
This tour is of my home. I have the east, south and west of my roof covered with solar panels. I have a solar room in my basement, where I have 3 batteries. I have 2 Lumin units, which allows me to monitor and control each breaker in my home with my computer or smart phone.
I have all solar yard equipment, plus 2 battery inverters, which allow me to use my Ego batteries from my lawnmowers as 110v power sources.
My wife and I drive electric cars and have since 2015. She has a 2019 Nissan Leaf (a nice car) and I drive a Tesla Model Y (rides are available!) We drive on the sun!
Our furnace is highly efficient, taking an average of $50 a month of gas to heat our 4,600 sq. ft. home.
