Solar Straw Bale

This passive solar house has straw bale walls and was designed specifically for maximum energy efficiency and south-facing roof for the PV and solar thermal systems. The metal roof also collects thousands of gallons of rainwater for use in the large garden. The PV system makes nearly enough power to cover annual electric usage.
