The American Solar Energy Society‘s 28th Annual National Solar Tour aims to promote renewable energy awareness and increase the adoption of sustainable living practices. Are you interested in going solar or purchasing a sustainable system? Join in-person or virtual tours to gain insight from current owners!
Although the main weekend is October 6-8, 2023. In-person and virtual tours are happening all throughout the year.

South Shore Solar and Sustainable Living Tour
Among the participating sites, you will find lots of solar panels, including some in historic districts and a restricted housing development, battery storage, solar hot water heating, solar hot water for heating, a passive house, Net Zero homes, mini-splits (also called air source heat pumps}, geothermal heat pump, metal roofing, electric vehicles, induction stove cook tops, Some homes also have vegetable gardens, composting, One person sells Bio Char for enriching soil. Municipal participants include a municipal electric companies, municipal charging station, municipal light plant energy efficiency incentives, municipal solar arrays.
