NATIONAL SOLAR TOUR
The American Solar Energy Society‘s 28th Annual National Solar Tour aims to promote renewable energy awareness and increase the adoption of sustainable living practices. Are you interested in going solar or purchasing a sustainable system? Join in-person or virtual tours to gain insight from current owners!
Although the main weekend is October 6-8, 2023. In-person and virtual tours are happening all throughout the year.
The Green Team at St. Paul’s was organized in the Spring of 2019 to help members and the community be better stewards of God’s good creation. Through education, support and inspiring one another to care for all of God’s creation, we can be the faithful stewards our Creator calls us to be. During the tour you can see the one roof PVC installation that powers two buildings and hear how the congregation quickly raised more than $46,000 during the Pandemic to fund a new roof, to 19.27kW system, and paid 10% forward to help another church with their solar installation, , You will also learn about the neighborhood composting program, see the raingardens and cistern system they installed for storm water control and to supply their community garden.
