The American Solar Energy Society‘s 28th Annual National Solar Tour aims to promote renewable energy awareness and increase the adoption of sustainable living practices. Are you interested in going solar or purchasing a sustainable system? Join in-person or virtual tours to gain insight from current owners!
Although the main weekend is October 6-8, 2023. In-person and virtual tours are happening all throughout the year.

West Salem Middle School is very excited for the chance to participate in the ASES National Solar Tour. The school is located in West Salem, Wisconsin and is part of the School District of West Salem, which serves approximately 1800 students. The solar array was installed in the summer of 2022 and consists of 288 panels on the rooftop of the building. When the building was remodeled and added on to in 2018, the roof was specially designed to hold panels with the hope of being able to implement a system. The system is installed on two portions of the roof, an upper portion and a lower portion, It produces approximately 140,000 kW each year, offsetting 22% of the building’s energy use.
