The American Solar Energy Society‘s 28th Annual National Solar Tour aims to promote renewable energy awareness and increase the adoption of sustainable living practices. Are you interested in going solar or purchasing a sustainable system? Join in-person or virtual tours to gain insight from current owners!
Although the main weekend is October 6-8, 2023. In-person and virtual tours are happening all throughout the year.

OHIO “Wish You Were Here” tour
Installing clean renewable solar at your home or business has never been more affordable. It’s one of the best things YOU can do to reduce pollution and offset your impact on the climate. And to help convince you, dozens of homes, parks, and businesses throughout Ohio have joined with the American Solar Energy Society to host tours this October.
This local tour will have Guided Bus tours on Oct. 6th and 7th, plus an EV Rally on Oct. 6th. The tours will showcase various renewable energy applications including solar water heating, solar electric generation, wind power, electric cars, living roofs, solar water pumping, geothermal, energy efficient construction and more.
From the 2,500 watt home array in Eastlake, to the 400,000 watt commercial array in Mentor, to the battery-backed urban home in Painesville, to the solar-powered electric car in Bainbridge, these bus tours will show you how it can be done in NE Ohio !!
